About Takida

Takida

Professional Makeup Artist

My journey in makeup began on the beautiful island of Trinidad and Tobago. There, I established myself as a professional makeup artist known for my passion and skill. I quickly built a loyal clientele, becoming a trusted name in Trinidad and Tobago's beauty industry. I then launched my own salon, Beauty Hub, creating a space where clients could feel and look their best. I’ve always been a bit of a serial entrepreneur, expanding my skills and business with every opportunity.

After several years doing business in Trinidad, I felt a call for something new, something bigger, something grander. I decided to relocate and start a new chapter. This move inspired me to reimagine my approach to makeup artistry, taking it to a whole new level. Now, I’m a thriving makeup artist and business owner, not only in Trinidad but here in the city as well, with plans to expand to other countries very soon. I’ve been fortunate to work with high-profile clients and celebrities, and my work has been featured on television and in magazines. My goal is simple: to help every client feel their absolute best and to create a memorable experience for each person who sits in my chair.

Educator

Teaching has always been a big part of my passion. Over the past 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of training more than 300 students, some of whom have gone on to become professional makeup artists themselves. Sharing my knowledge with others has only made me a better artist, and I believe that education and artistry go hand in hand.

Mentor

Mentorship is something I hold close to my heart. I believe in sharing my journey and helping others carve out their own path. My mentoring is rooted in faith, and I aim to inspire those I work with to believe in themselves and trust that God has a purpose for them. For me, mentorship is about supporting others in finding the confidence to succeed on their own terms.

Philanthropist

Faith and giving back are core values in my life. In 2020, I founded the Romans 828 Project, a nonprofit focused on supporting children in ways that make them feel valued and seen. This work isn’t just about providing resources; it’s about helping young people believe they can achieve greatness. I’m committed to sharing my faith, life, and art in ways that uplift others and make a difference.

From my roots in Trinidad and Tobago to the big city, my journey has been filled with creativity, resilience, and faith.
